Terms of Service
Effective April 18, 2026
These terms govern your use of SpaceSpider — the desktop app, website, license system, and update service. By installing the app, creating an account, or purchasing a license you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. The service
SpaceSpider is a desktop application that runs a grid of terminal panes, each hosting a command-line tool of your choice (AI coding CLIs or your shell). We also provide a website for account management, billing, and updates.
2. License
When you purchase a plan we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run SpaceSpider on the number of devices permitted by your plan. You may not:
- Share, resell, or sublicense your license key
- Reverse-engineer the desktop binary except as permitted by law
- Use the service to violate any law or third party's rights
We may revoke licenses used in violation of these terms. Lifetime licenses cover the current major version plus all updates within it; future major versions may be offered as separate upgrades.
3. Accounts
You sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Notify us immediately at security@spacespider.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Billing and refunds
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you selected.
- You can cancel anytime from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- We offer a 14-day refund window on new subscriptions — see our refund policy.
- Taxes and currency conversion fees may apply depending on your location.
5. Third-party AI tools
SpaceSpider runs other companies' CLIs (e.g. Anthropic's Claude Code, OpenAI's Codex, Alibaba's Qwen Code, Moonshot's Kimi CLI). Those tools have their own terms and costs. You are responsible for your own API keys, usage fees, and compliance with each provider's terms. We are not a party to your agreement with them.
6. Updates
SpaceSpider checks for updates automatically and may download and install them in the background. Update manifests are signed with our private key; the app verifies the signature before installing.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use SpaceSpider to:
- Break into systems you don't own or have permission to access
- Generate content that violates laws (CSAM, targeted harassment, credible threats)
- Circumvent the license system or tamper with device counting
8. Intellectual property
SpaceSpider, its branding, and the source code we publish remain our property (or that of our licensors). Your projects, files, and prompts remain yours — we never see them.
9. Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI tools it launches will produce correct or safe results. Review AI output before using it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost profits, lost data, downtime).
11. Termination
You can stop using SpaceSpider at any time and cancel your subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or if required by law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes take effect 30 days after we announce them on the website or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where SpaceSpider operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
